    never mind the engine RPM, I'd be more worried about the SC RPM. Several visits past the 14K redline will kill the SC. I'd do the pulley math and figure out at what engine RPM is where the 14K redline for the SC is. If you are suspecting that the tach is way off, just shift a little earlier. Your torque peak is going to be WAY before redline anyway... My SC Civic torque peak is 2000 (two-thousand) RPM before SC redline.
